Jackson and the Poolsharks

Bio

Jackson and the Poolsharks centers around the stylings of Detroit-based songwriter Daniel Jackson. While remaining reverent to the southern rock and blues records his father exposed him to at a young age (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones), Jackson includes the more contemporary post-punk and power-pop influences he explored in his formative years. The result is a punky yet groovy, dirty yet pop-sensible hybrid which Jackson can claim entirely as his own. His debut album tells stories of heartache and lost love, but with such infectious melodies, it's hard not to want to stomp your foot and shout along.

Jackson is joined by Josh Miller on the drums, the stylistic bass slappings of Mr. Steven Stocker as well as additional support from the multi-talented Nick Sabella and guitar love machine Dave Heinrich.
